A piece of Cox land was sold to Thomas Warfield who built the first two-story
block at a cost of $7,000.
1883
Block burned to ground. Renters Burgdorf, Fox & Fischer lost
everything.

A piece of the east end was sold to the village for a village hall.
1886
Property sold to Frank and Speedie Lapham.

Property sold to Frank & Mary Fischer for $4,500.
1894
Mr. Fischer added a third story and tin roof on the block.

Remodeling completed, building officially named Warfield Block in tribute to its
